Dr. Rick Kochman

Dentist

Dr. Ricky Kochman grew up in Toronto and graduated from the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry in 1981. He has been serving the community of of North York, Toronto, Thornhill and beyond for 40 years at Skymark Dental Centre . He strives to provide a warm and friendly atmosphere where his patients can be comfortable relaxed and stress free during their dental visits. He is passionate about providing the latest in dental technology to enhance his patients experience. Dr. Kochman is a member of the Ontario Dental Association, the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario and a member of Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity. His other interests include traveling with his wife, grandchildren, golf and watching his favourite teams the Raptors and the Leafs.

Dr. Catalina Barrera

Associate Dentist

Dr. Barrera is originally from Santiago, Chile. She graduated from University Pedro De Valdivia dental school in Chile in 2012 .She then received her specialist degree in orthodontics in 2016. She moved to Toronto six years ago. She successfully completed the NDEB exam process in 2018. In doing so, she has acquired her accreditation and license in Canada building on her 6 years of education and residency where she was the top graduate in her class.

She has expanded her knowledge and skill sets by taking the Invisalign course in Canada and this has built on her orthodontic work and experience from back home. Dr Barrera enjoys all aspects of dentistry and is excited to offer implant surgery as she has completed the University Toronto Residency program in 2022. She strives to provide the best dental care at Skymark Dental Centre for all patients from young to the elderly in a stress free environment.

When she is not in the office Catalina loves to spend time with her husband and their baby and enjoys exercising daily.

Kristen R.

Office Administrator

Kristen has been with Skymark Dental Centre for over 30 years and genuinely enjoys interacting with patients and providing them with the best care possible. Her greatest pleasure is making people happy and seeing them smile.

In her spare time Kristen enjoys travelling with her husband, live music, spending time with family and friends and watching a good movie.

Saaraa S.

Office Administrator

Saaraa graduated from the Dental Assisting program in 2012 from Durham College/UOIT, but found her true calling in the more patient-facing realm of dental administration. She has 10 years experience in the dental field, 7 of which are with Skymark Dental Centre.

Outside of work, Saaraa enjoys spending time with her family and friends, as well as travelling around the world. When she’s not working or travelling, she also enjoys interior decorating.

Karen L.

Dental Hygienist

Karen joined the Skymark Dental team in 2015. She graduated from the Dental Hygiene program at George Brown College in 2013 with Honors shortly after completing her Bachelor of Science at the University of Toronto. Her passion comes from helping clients achieve their optimal smile.

Away from the office, she loves working out on her Peloton, play tennis and spending time with her husband and two young children.

Tina C.

Dental Hygienist

Tina has been with our team since July of 2020. Raised in Vancouver, BC Tina obtained her Dental Assisting degree from CDI college in 2012 and acquired her Dental Hygiene Diploma from Oxford college in 2014. She obtained her Orthodontic Module certificate from the University of British Columbia and has also completed Invisalign and laser therapy courses. Tina moved to Toronto with her dog Sushi in 2018.

In her spare time Tina loves to bake sweet treats, watch Netflix and spend time with her husband and dog sushi.

Sherry F.

Dental Assistant

Sherry has been with the Skymark team since August of 2020. She graduated from the Toronto College of Dental Hygiene and Auxillaries. Sherry works with both Dr. Kochman and Dr. Barrera and loves working with our team! Sherry is fluent in English and Farsi and enjoys bike riding and spending time with her family in her spare time.

Janantha (Jana) S.

Dental Assistant

Jana graduated from George Brown College in 2020 where she obtained her Level 2 Dental assisting degree. She is the newest member of the Skymark Dental team, and started working here in October of 2021. She enjoys working with the team and learning new things every day. When not in the office Jana enjoys nature walks, shopping and spending time with family and friends.

Mouna K.

Dental Assistant

Mouna has been a Certified Dental Assistant since 2006. She joined the Skymark dental team in 2021 as a dental assistant. The patient experience is her priority and she work hard to ensure our patients feel comfortable.

When she isn't working she enjoys spending time with family and friends.
